World Land Trust (WLT) is an international conservation charity that protects some of the most biologically significant and threatened habitats on Earth. Working with Westerleigh Group and a network of many other partner organisations around the world, WLT funds conservation actions that benefit wildlife and local communities while also combatting climate change.
Buy an Acre
Westerleigh Group pledges to donate £100 per each memorial sale† – and a minimum total of £45,500 – to WLT to support their Buy an Acre programme.
Each £100 donated to WLT will fund a purchase of an acre of land in areas of maximum biodiversity to support the protection of ecologically important land, facing threats such as deforestation, urbanisation and agriculture, many of which provide some of the last remaining havens for countless rare and spectacular species.
Preserving these strongholds for biodiversity, acre by acre, is the most impactful way we can protect habitats and the life they support in perpetuity.

- Westerleigh Group commits to donate £100 to World Land Trust for each memorial purchase completed during the qualifying period. Westerleigh Group pledges to donate a minimum total of £45,500.
- Qualifying period: Monday 9th September to Sunday 6th October, inclusive.
- Memorial purchase includes all cremation and lawn memorial collection items offered by Westerleigh Group, including associated purchases of leases, personalisation, personal jewellery, scattering in space and vinyl records with ashes.
- Offer includes purchases made using Funeral Safe credit finance. Credit available to persons aged 18 or over.
- Donations are the sole responsibility of Westerleigh Group, not the individual making memorial purchase, and will be made from Westerleigh Group’s metal recycling fund. The group operates a metal recycling scheme where, with the consent of families, metals recovered during cremation are recycled, and any money raised is used to support selected charities, local activities and environmental initiatives.
- Regarding granite purchases, AK Lander, part of the Westerleigh Group reserves the right at any time to change the qualifying criteria and benefits or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this donation offer either with or without prior notice.
